Welcome to BorderForce Horizon
Flexible system extending automated border surveillance by increased
situational awareness adaptable to uncertain times with unforeseen events

What BorderForce brings to the EU and its citizens
As a citizen, you enjoy the free circulation of people, goods, capitals and services within the European Schengen area. To further ensure such liberties, its external borders have to be secured.
At Border Check Points (the BCPs we all know), citizen can enter or leave the Shengen area through controls of people and goods.
Yet, the “green borders” (or borders bewteen BCPs) need also to be monitored by Border Gurads and Customs : by getting a comprehensive overview of the zone, they can avoid irregular crossings and illegal flows of goods. The BorderForce project aims at helping them carrying out their missions. How? By providing them with technical solutions enhancing their real-time surveillance capabilities, in line with the EU fundamental rights and laws.
